Aboru Aboye!
Краткий перевод всех постов ниже. Мне делал предсказание кубинский Бабалаво и определил неправильно головного Ориша. Возможно ли это?

Alafia,
I was wondering if someone crowned the wrong Orisa can be "corrected"?
A few months ago I was read by a Lucumi Babalawo as a daughter of Yemaya and I was about to be initiated but I knew something wasn't right. My godmother told me that Ifa had determined my head and that the issue should be dropped but I still couldn't shake my bad feelings. A few weeks later I discovered the Ifa Foundation and the article on the website about incorrect guardian readings. I immediately recieved a reading from Oluwo Philip and he determined I was a child of Oya. I cannot describe the sigh of relief that echoed from my soul at that moment because that made SENSE to me. I had to leave my Madrina because I knew she would never respect the "new" reading. Unfortunately, a friend of mine was initiated despite the fact that she told me weeks earlier that she "knew it was wrong but already paid her money". She was crowned Yemaya in June. I could be wrong but I think Stevie Wonder could see she is not a child of Yemaya.
Anyway,is it possible to "correct" these mistakes?
I've always been taught that once someone has been crowned that it is permanent but I want to confirm this. I look forward to your responses.
Peace and Blessings

I come from a background of santeria and from my past knowledge, I was told that the reading for crowning an orisha from a santero can be wrong ( and now that makes sense to me after reading an article that says a santero can't work with all odu's and therefore cannot tell the right orisa). However Ty posts that a Lucumi Babalawo was wrong in reading the orisa. How is this possible if a babalawo works with all energies?
Also, I was taught that you only get the reading done once in your life becuase another reading would be showing disrespect to Orula's abilities. From reading the articles in the library I have realized that this "rule" was probably a result of the western religion's influence of the "word" being absolute. However, how would the person know if the second reading is right, or the third. Is he or she to keep trying until he/she get orisa that they think is correct?
blessings
Jason
Neimark replies: In order to establish the correct answer to any question ( for example, a person's primary energy) an Ifa Babalawo is trained to ascertain the "yes" or "no" answer by comparing the relative value of ALL 256 Odu. The Santreria/Lucumi Babalawo is trained to compare ONLY 16, In other words, the Santeria/Lucumi Babalawo compares ONLY the right leg (side) of the first cast with the right leg of the second cast, rather than the entire Odu. In so doing, statistically, they will be correct 25% of this time. The Ifa Babalawo, comparing the entire two sides of the first cast to the two sides of the second cast is using the entire value of the 256 Odu and will be correct 100% of the time. It is the reason for so many mistakes of Primary Orisa etc. If you are read by a competent Ifa Babalawo you will know it is corr
ect.
